Popo Awakens
On a day hike from our basecamp on Iztaccihuatl (Ixta 17,671') we were witness to an awesome site. Popocatepetl (Popo 17,930') began to act up. Belching steam for a couple of hours we thought it might be the start of something more serious, but nothing ever resulted. Two days later we summitted Ixta as Popo lay still.
